Amos is a fishmonger and a llera farmer's disappointment, a mage college dropout, a failed gang leader, and a peddler of drugs. They're young enough that they still don't know where they're going, but old enough to experience at least two human lifetimes of frustration, and working on the third.

- Their navigation skills are borderline unnatural; between their quick recognition of geographical features and sensitivity to magnetic fields, they just can't get lost.
- Their eyes are huge because of a throwback trait, oft called Helain eyes. Not many Gisain have them.
- Their favorite smoke trick is to slowly blow it through the gaps between their teeth. Compared to a human doing it, they look far more like a fuming dragon.
- While they do know some magic that typically requires some collegiate study to achieve, they are by no means an expert. They're a mage college dropout after all, not a wizard in an ivory tower.

They tried their best to protect him and make him feel welcome in the gang, yet it wasn't enough. He disappeared. They didn't even know he was okay for decades after the fact. The last time Amos saw him and tried to make contact, he wouldn't even look at them.
